JCDR Staff Attend Orthotic and Prosthetic Training at CMC Vellore, India from 21 September to 03 October 2026.

Mr. Christian Bernard and Mr. Ratnasabapathy Ratnakumar from JJCDR attended a training programme at Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, India, from 21 September to 3 October 2026. The programme included a module on the manufacture of custom diabetic footwear, as well as training in orthotics and prosthetics.

The training will strengthen their technical knowledge and skills and contribute to further improving rehabilitation services at JJCDR.

JJCDR gratefully acknowledges North Carolinians for Peace Foundation (NCFPF) for generously funding this valuable training opportunity.

The knowledge and skills gained will help JJCDR improve the quality, fit, and efficiency of its products, enhance production capacity, and introduce improved techniques where appropriate. We are confident that these improvements will strengthen our ability to meet the growing rehabilitation needs of persons with disabilities and individuals with diabetes-related foot complications.
